Digital: A Love Story

Digital: Lake City Local

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't get much more romantic than this — a love story / thriller, set over the pre-web internet of the late eighties. Is it interactive fiction? Is it sort of a game? Is it like Uplink with a narrative and a bit of heart?

Yes, it is, and that's all good. Basically, Digital is a story which you access from a mock-Amiga interface, dialling up various BBSs and 'speaking' to characters, like a single-player ARG. Written by Christine Love and created with the Ren'Py scripting system, it's available on Mac, Linux and Windows. Really, you have no excuse to not take a look.

Also, you may or may not get to HACK THE GIBSON. For anyone like me, the mere possibility will be worth a look.

Digital: Holy Crap!
